Ukiyo Game Bar - Coming August 2026
Coming to the heart of Tokyo, Ukiyo Studios will soon be opening the Ukiyo Game Bar, a permanent location to showcase indie games.
Visitors will be able to grab a few drinks, play games and demos, and buy merchandise.
Located in Ginza, just a quick 10-minute walk from Tokyo Station. The Ukiyo Game Bar will occupy two floors. The lower floor is planned with a traditional whisky bar layout, featuring demo stations at the tables. Meanwhile, the upper floor will be situated as an event space, open to book for game launch parties, press preview sessions, and other private events.
Our location is strategically located across from several train lines. Because of our proximity to Tokyo Station, trains pass by the bar at low speeds, making it easy for passengers to see. We aim to take full advantage of this by installing LED panels in our windows to showcase games currently featured in the bar, and to make this signage available to book for sponsor messaging as well.
Games can be hosted at the bar in a variety of ways. We plan for some games to be long-term fixtures that customers can look forward to playing again when they return, but we also plan to have limited run titles so that there’s always something fresh to look forward to. We can present limited time events and seasonal showcases, and we anticipate being able to partner with publishers and industry curators to theme the space around their branding for a week or two at a time.
When major events occur such as Tokyo Game Show, we expect the Ukiyo Game Bar to be a must-see stop for international visitors, and we’ve already seen high interest from industry figures from around the world.
We’ll have more to share in the coming weeks as we prepare to launch. Follow us on social media for the latest updates!
